The Amadeo decanter was launched in 2006 to celebrate RIEDEL’s 250th anniversary. It is named after Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was also celebrating his 250th birthday that year. This hand-blown glass decanter is shaped like a lyre and pours wine like a dream. The wine easily decanters through the wider opening of the vessel and pours into the glass through the narrower mouth.

This piece features a black stripe across the surface, achieved by inserting a bar of black crystal into the molten glass before completing the decanter modelling.

Our glass masters handcraft each piece, so each piece has its own unique character. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, there may be small differences in the size and weight of each piece, bubbles, imperfections or slight variations in the surface.

Avoid overfilling the decanter. It is designed to hold precise quantities of liquid: 0.75 L for the standard size, 1.5 L for the magnum and 3 L for the jeroboam.
