Lalique nasce nel 1887 come azienda orafa e dai primi del Novecento comincia a realizzare vasi e sculture in vetro e cristallo dallo stile elegante, classico ed unico.
I vasi di Lalique spaziano, si evolvono non limitandosi a raffigurare elementi naturali, animali e nudi femminili, ma accompagnano le figure a interagire tra loro. Le forme si contaminano, le azioni si uniscono, il cristallo risplende. Ninfee che danzano tra acque effervescenti, cavalli galoppanti verso la libertà, in un turbinio di chiome fluenti e luminosi dettagli. I vasi Lalique regalano racconti di miti lontani e desideri di voluttà. Grazie alla maestria degli artigiani Lalique, il cristallo si fa conduttore di energia luminosa riuscendo a interagire positivamente con l’ambiente circostante, ricreando atmosfere sublimi e lussuose.
Le veneree e sinuose curve dei nudi femminili di Lalique, realizzati a mano, incantano lo sguardo di chi le osserva. Un’ipnosi magnetica, quasi mitologica, scaturita dalla particolare luce riflessa dal cristallo satinato che, in qualche modo, sembra trattenerla al proprio interno senza immediatamente rivelarla. Difficile resistere all’eleganza felina delle pantere Lalique che grazie alla silhouette sottile e la posa tattica, come se volessero attaccare la preda in una foresta di cristallo, riesce ad esaltare la potente muscolatura e la brillantezza dei punti luminosi presenti sul manto.
