    Smeg

    SMEG , an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla, was founded in 1948 by Vittorio Bertazzoni. The company initially focused on metalworking; a few years later, it began producing its first cooking appliances. In the 1960s, it produced its first washing machines, and in the 1970s, it launched the world's first 14-place setting dishwasher. It later expanded its range to include built-in hobs and ovens.

    Smeg: Vintage and designer appliances

    Since its inception, SMEG has stood out for its manufacturing excellence and technical innovation. Thanks to collaborations with international architects and designers, its products have become true works of art, bringing Made in Italy quality to the world. These partnerships have earned the company numerous design awards, establishing its unique and unmistakable style. Iconic products such as vintage 1950s-style refrigerators and small appliances like kettles , juicers , and toasters decorate homes around the world, adding a touch of elegance and personality to everyday environments.

    Smeg's Collaborations: From Dolce & Gabbana to Fiat

    Since 2016, SMEG and Dolce & Gabbana have combined their creativity in the Sicily is My Love and Blu Mediterraneo collections, creating decorations entirely Made in Italy: from refrigerators to toasters, each piece tells a story of exclusive design.

    Other notable collaborations include Italian Independent and Fiat , with which SMEG created a refrigerator integrated into the hood of a Fiat 500, transforming an automotive icon into a striking piece of furniture.
