The Venini brand was founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini, a Milanese lawyer fascinated by the art of Murano glass , and Giacomo Cappellin, a Venetian antiques dealer. They were joined by Vittorio Zecchin, a Venetian artist of great sensitivity, who assumed the role of artistic director. The collaboration between these three visionaries shaped a unique creative identity, still recognizable today.
The union of traditional techniques and the talent of Murano's master glassmakers gives life to true works of art. In 1921, Zecchin created the Veronese , the vase that would become the timeless icon of the Venini factory. Thanks to Venini 's fame , new collaborations with internationally renowned designers and architects were born over time. Even today, after 100 years, Venini remains an illustrious company in the world of glass and lighting, and its objects—such as the iconic Fazzoletto vase and the Gio Ponti chandelier —are recognized and sought after by enthusiasts.
