It's Christmas Eve at Frederiksborg Castle and on the snowy cobbles, the glow of the street lamps catches the twinkling eyes of the castle's two cats. The annual Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate has been handmade and issued annually since 1908.
This year too, the annual Royal Copenhagen dish is accompanied by a figurine.
The relief of the decoration is elaborated by hand by the most skilled artists, starting from the creator's drawing and subsequently modeled according to craft traditions that have been handed down over the years.
