The optical illusion of the VENINI Monofiori from 1970 is in its name: Balloton, the unique workmanship that recreates the matelassé effect on the surface.
The work is hand-crafted, blown into the characteristic metal mold and finished in the thin neck with a colored thread applied while hot, which varies in color.
The blown glass is hand-worked using the traditional balloton process with a metal mold, for a cross-relief effect.
